Does filtration replace ventilation?
No. A filter treats air passing through it; ventilation exchanges indoor and outdoor air. Both need to be considered alongside moisture sources and airflow.
Can I combine a humidifier with an HRV or ERV?
Yes, when the equipment and controls are compatible. Settings should be coordinated for outdoor conditions and the building's moisture needs.
Do you work on older homes?
Yes. We assess access, existing ductwork and equipment compatibility to recommend a practical retrofit.
Can a dehumidifier fix a basement leak?
No. A dehumidifier controls airborne moisture, but leaks and drainage problems need correction at their source.
Do you assess condo systems?
We review condo HVAC unit and condo heat pump compatibility. Building management approval may be required for changes.
